Best cozy Manhattan restaurant to spend Thanksgiving?

What's a cozy downtown Manhattan restaurant that serves a great prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner?

I have been to The Smile for 7-8 years in a row for Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family, but it's gone now.

I'm looking to discover a similar alternative this year — cozy, unpretentious, woody, serves a great prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner. A fireplace, like The Smile, would be a bonus.

A few that I've read about so far that definitely do Thanksgiving but might not have the same vibe: The Smith, The Standard, Lure Fishbar, La Mercerie, Balvanera.

We have plans near Tompkins Square park afterward, so it would ideally be in a neighborhood within walking distance.

I don't know the vibe on Thanksgiving, but I've been to the The Smith on Third Ave quite a bit. Upstairs at least, I've found it to be one of the loudest restaurants in the city. I'm not sure what it is about the set up/acoustics, but it is noticeable. There is a small downstairs dining room that wasn't particularly loud, but I don't remember much else about it and am not sure if you can request to sit there. I don't think there is a fireplace, but it is close to Tompkins Square.

Echoing praemunire -- we had a great Thanksgiving dinner at Hearth last year.

Oh, definitely check out Friend of a Farmer! It's just off Gramercy Park. They have opened another location on the Upper West Side, but Gramercy was where we used to go for brunch (and dinner!) when Mr. dancinglamb and I were dating (ahem) a quarter century ago.

HEARTH HEARTH HEARTH it's wonderful and quiet- might see you there even.
Friend of a farmer also a good option.
