Like today???
Teens and adults.
I require wine. We are currently stuck in traffic.
I should have specified—walking distance?

There's a Legal Sea Foods right at Long Wharf, and another one a 25-minute walk away. IMO you can't go wrong with Legal Sea Foods.

I also say Legal's. It's right across the plaza from the aquarium. Runner up would be someplace in the Seaport as qnarf recommends. Chinatown about a 20 minute walk - try Pho Pasteur, Hei La Moon, or Empire Garden with the caveat that I'm not sure they serve alcohol. The Faneuil Hall area would be a very distant fourth to those options IMO.

Legal Sea Foods is great. Another option, slightly longer walking distance (by maybe 5 minutes), Granary Tavern - basically upscale American pub food, they have flatbread pizzas and burgers and chicken and waffles and that kind of stuff. They absolutely serve alcohol.
A ways down State Street is Bostonia which is good but I won't bother linking because it's pricey - I think it caters mostly to the business crowd. You could also walk up to the North End, which I don't think is really much further than the Seaport, but I don't have any specific recommendations there.

You could always try The Chart House, it’s solid seafood, they have wine, and it’s right where you are.

Their wine selection might be a limiting factor, but Saus is about a 10 minute walk from the aquarium.

After reading the responses, it strikes me as odd (ironic?) that the suggestions are to eat seafood after visiting an aquarium. Look kids, here is the type of fish we will have for dinner. If I were the kid(s) or the adult(s) in this situation, I would opt for the burgers/chicken fingers/pizza at Granary or the longer walk to China Town. Or Saus.

If you're into Vietnamese food, I'll register a big plus one for Pho Pasteur, though it's 3:15 eastern so fingers crossed you've found something for lunch (and a glass of wine) by now.

The NE Aquarium actually has seafood on their cafe menu.

I'd try Bar Taco.
