Does this colorful abstract t-shirt design have any meaning or come from somewhere?

I got this t-shirt at a thrift store. There's no tag in it other than a tiny M for the size. It's all-over printed, the same pattern front & back. I don't recognize it but maybe it seems familiar? Is this some known abstract art print or something? It somewhat suggestive of a Max Ernst sponge painting, especially the orangey-golden section in the lower third.

I don’t think it’s abstract though! It looks like a painting of the ocean at night seen from a beach.

This is a style of shirt I recognize, made using famous paintings. I've seen some Van Gogh and Monet. I don't recognize this painting though. Here's an Ebay listing with some similar shirts.

It reminds me of one of those Magic Eye 3D pictures, myself, though I don't know whether this one is one.
