Ding dong, ice cream delivery

I want to send someone ice cream in the mail, but it should probably be a gift card so they can choose the delivery time and it doesn't melt sitting on the stoop. What's a good place that delivers moderately shmancy ice cream anywhere in the lower 48?
Jeni’s does a good job and has a fun set of flavors. To me, Jeni’s is a little salty (or something) but a lot of people like it that way.
If they are in a McConnell’s delivery area, I recommend, they are my current favorite ice cream. I like the chocolate covered strawberry.

I just yesterday got several pints of personalized ice cream from this place, delivered to me (in Michigan) for my big birthday. Haven't gotten to try it yet.

Rococo Ice Cream has absolutely god-level flavors and a very thoughtful shipping regime.

Most places that ship ice cream pack it very well with dry ice, you don't have to worry about it melting on the stoop.
I've had good experiences from both Jeni's and McConnell's being shipped to me, both arrived "over-frozen" due to the dry ice (the ice cream was extra-hard) and it was recommended to let it sit in your freezer overnight to adjust back to normal frozen temperature...and they were right, I tried serving myself immediately on arrival and it was very difficult to shave out enough ice cream for a serving!

I really like frutero. I bought some for myself from whole foods and liked it so much that I had a case shipped to my parents.

I grew up in Cincinnati where the only possible answer is Graeter's. Our family favorite was black raspberry chocolate chip. The raspberry has a strong fruity flavor like you would usually find in a sorbet but with creamy mouth feel of real ice cream and the chocolate chips are large dark chunks.

Another vote for Graeter's, and the recipient should get only flavors with chips, but especially coconut chip, black raspberry chip and mocha chip.

Response by poster: I'm also thinking, do they have room in the freezer for at least 4 pints of ice cream? Maybe not, but with a gift card you'd at least be able to plan ahead.
Thank you for the advice!
