If I like what I've heard about Mockus and Peñalosa, I might also like....

Recommendations don't need to be limited to any geographical region in particular. They can be creative policies instead of people (eg mimes replacing traffic cops). If someone else has listed something, you don't need to repeat it. Thanks!

When I google those names I get some articles about Colombian city governance, in Spanish. Can you clarify what answers specifically you are hoping to receive here?

Response by poster: Delightful and creative responses to urban problems. Firing traffic cops and replacing them with mimes. Ciclovia before ciclovia was a thing. There are more such examples from both mayors. Etc. Not business-as-usual.

City Climate Corner podcast has some interesting case studies on local responses. Not nearly as fun as Mockus (that documentary was so good).

Curitiba for sustainability, traffic, public transport, litter. There is an eponymous documentary, too.
