Where will a donation go the furthest to help:
  • Get through the winter,
  • Win the war, and
  • Rebuild the country?

Best answer: Donate directly to the Ukrainian government through United24.

    Two very different answers:

World Central Kitchen has been doing incredibly good work partnering with local restaurants to feed people on the ground. I know folks in Ukraine who have worked/partnered with them and have been happy with the support they provide.

St. Javelin is a Canada based meme-shop that sprung up to support the war effort, and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through their merch. They currently focus the money raised on medkits via Unite for Ukraine as well as a "winter is coming" GOT parody campaign for winter gear. Their merch is now mostly made in Ukraine (rebuilding in some small way local industry).

Thank you for still looking to contribute.

Mriya Aid for medical and non-lethal military supplies. World Central Kitchen is operating in Kherson and elsewhere in Ukraine providing food aid, though you can't mark a donation specifically for their Ukraine efforts. (on preview, larthegreat beat me to it)

My husband has been volunteering for months at Razom. In fact, he's there right now. Any way you can help is a good way to help.

    Solidarity Collectives

an anti-authoritarian volunteer network formed before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine to help comrades on the front line and civilians affected by the war.

    […]

Based on our anti-authoritarian values, we decided to actively resist Russian aggression. We support the right of the Ukrainian people to self-defense and consider the Russian invasion an imperialist act. […] Full support of the Ukrainian people in their struggle (which doesn’t necessarily mean supporting the government’s policies) is the only consistent stance for anarchists and leftists worldwide.
