weather app with a globe map view

The Dark Sky weather app is being subsumed by apple weather. One of the things I like about it is when you look at the satellite map, it presents as a globe when you pull back, rather than a flat map. Duckduckgo-fu is failing me - are there any other weather maps that have this? Apple does not :( and Dark Sky says they are done at the end of the year. Thanks!

This same topic was on here within the past week or so. Try searching for it.

I think this is the question that Liquidwolf refers to.

It's similar to your question, but, unfortunately, the glove view part did not come up.

(Side note, your question is tagged 'maps' and 'weatherapps,' while theirs is tagged 'weather,' 'app,' and 'ios.' I don't want to be all Mr. Maybe-A-Dark-Sky-Tag-Would-Be-Helpful-Since-There-Are-Probably-More-Of-Us-Navigating-This-Transition-Than-One-Might-Think, but, umm.)

Seconding acari: https://earth.nullschool.net/ using an orthographic projection does wind, particulates, CO2, NO2, fires etc. over the last 15 minutes or choose-your-time.

Carrot Weather is a wonderful, extremely customizable app all around, but it specifically has the globe view you’re looking for.

Note that its raison d'être is a murderous bot bent on destroying humanity, and so one of its defining features is snarky forecasts that can dialed up (to include cursing and such) or down (to remove snark entirely). So you will want to play with its settings to at least possibly adjust that depending on your sensitivities.
