Save my suede handbag!

How do I clean a suede handbag?

I have a small, beloved brown suede handbag that has faded a bit with (over)use. A quick Google search brings up everyone and their mom's method for getting stains off, but not so much with regard to restoring color. Any tried-and-true advice?
