I want to learn more about Edward Munch. I want to learn more than the Wikipedia page and less than a 300-paoe biography. I'm especially interested in anything about his (literal) vision and have already found some scholarly articles on it. I also appreciate books/articles/documentaries/podcasts that include peculiar stories about him (accidentally shooting off his finger) or find new ways to consider his work. I've already read a lot on The Scream, but the rest is fair game.

Best answer: The Munch Museum in Oslo is an obvious choice, even if you can't get there in person, they have a number of good online articles and exhibits on his life and works.

Best answer: I was also going to recommend the Munch Museum. Their material is fantastic and I learned a lot about Munch from my visit. Their website looks like it contains even more information - all sorts of videos and podcasts. (I love Munch, mostly because of that museum!)

Best answer: Karl Ove Knausgaard wrote So Much Longing In So Little Space.

There's a graphic novel biography.

If you do somehow end up in Oslo, the Munch Museum does not have The Scream because it's at the National Gallery. Or at least this was true in 2016, apparently they have a whole new Munch Museum now, so who knows.
