How to Table & Swag at a Music Festival

How do you figure out how much swag to lay out each day?

I'm in charge of swag for a table at a three-day music festival. There are 12,000 people per day expected on the grounds. We have four different branded trinkets (stickers, temporary tattoos, matchbooks, and bubbles) to give away. Any advice on how to measure stuff out so there's still some left on day three?

Best answer: Only set out a few of each item on the table- arrange it pleasantly but not in huge piles. Hide the rest under the table or in a back area. Replenish as necessary. The appearance of a trove of free stuff always makes people grab more than they might if a reasonable amount is on display. Divide what you have to give out for the whole weekend in thirds and "run out" if you need to on early days if you're trying to table for all three days. If it's a small event where you'll see the same people each day, which this doesn't sound like, it's smart to have different stuff on each day to keep pulling interest.

Best answer: Are people likely to stay the full three days, or will the first or third be lighter? That might help you think through how much to hold back. The last day of event is often lighter unless the programming encourages people to stick to the end.
