Help me Patreon as both a patron and a creator

Before the pandemic, I signed up to become a patron for two different creators, both writers. I didn't do anything other than just sign up, and now I can't figure out how to sign in to read their work.
I went through my email to see if I had made a Patreon account to read their stuff. Apparently, seven years ago I signed up to be a creator, not a patron, and forgot about it as it was part of a short-lived business venture with someone else who turned out to be kind of shady. Since a friend had recently suggested that I get a Patreon for my own creative work, I reset my username and password to get ready to do so. However, that is sort of beside the point of not knowing how to read the work of other creators as their patron.
The two people that I support do not show up as creators in my abovementioned Patreon account, and I've searched my email to see if I have a separate account as a patron instead of a creator. Clearly I didn't sign up to support them from that account, which I never actually used.
I've read their "how to become a patron" page a few times and have found no instructions about how to actually read the stuff I am paying for.
Relatedly, now that I've revived my creator account, do creators normally act as patrons for each other? Is that something separate? Are patron accounts and creator accounts different? Do I need or not need an account to read my creators' works?
I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my mind, like it's so obvious they don't even have to include it in the instructions or I'm missing something that's right there in front of me. I am very frustrated, but I know you can help me.

Some troubleshooting questions, possibly too basic:
* The money’s definitely coming out of your account, right? Obviously if you’re not seeing charges each month on your card the simplest explanation is that your registration failed to go through for some reason. But I’m assuming it’s not that so:
* Do you get backer emails from Patreon? There should be a receipt each month (email subject: Your Patreon receipt is here!) to the email associated with the patron account. I autoforward mail from some accounts to another account, but checking the To: field in my email tells me what email I actually signed up with. Then you can put that email in for a password reset.
