Seeking gorgeous stationery in London

I'm willing to go anywhere in London to buy a special-feeling, luxurious card for a special note to someone. Where should I go?

This could be a specialty stationer's shop or another type of store (museum gift shop), really just anywhere I can find a beautiful card (bonus points for a beautiful envelope or other papery accessories). A lot of the recommendations I see online these days are for hipstery stationers that carry cool-looking assortments of vintage goods, but I don't necessarily trust they'll have what I'm looking for.

Try Papermash - i think they are the only, or at any rate the first, UK stockists of Rifle Paper stationery.

Shepherds near Victoria have beautiful handmade papers and some fancy cards too.

Response by poster: I found the perfect cards at Liberty, so marking that as "best," but I can't wait to explore some of these other shops as well. Thanks to all for the input.
