iPhone app for photo album -> time lapse video

I have ~200 photos in an album on my iPhone. I'd like to turn it into a time lapse video. Is there an easy app for that?

iPhone's slideshow feature doesn't do the trick as it displays everything for far too long, and even trying to place it in iMovie was problematic - it wouldn't let me shorten the length of each picture to a short enough timeframe, and I have to remove the Ken Burns effect individually from each one.

When I search for apps, most things that come up are just for the camera to film a timelapse video, where as I want to just convert my album of 200 pictures into a timelapse (or essentially a very fast slideshow).

Any ideas?

If you have access to a Mac and can transfer the photos, you can import a directory of images into QuickTime, set a frame rate and it generates a video

The Everyday app is designed for making a time lapse out of a daily selfie. The app lets you import photos, so it may work for this. I don’t know if it mucks with aspect ratio/cropping, though, so I’m not sure.

You could try Stop Motion Studio or a similar stop motion app.

The shortcuts app (from apple) has a way to combine images into a time-lapse video, at least on iOS 14 and later. Don’t remember how to do that off the top of my brain though, and it’s surprisingly difficult to google because of the generic name of “shortcuts.”

But in photos.app, you can select multiple photos, then into the share sheet, and then select “Slideshow” as you’ve discovered. It’s possible to set very short durations on things and get a stop-motion video, though photos won’t do any image alignment. But if your images are already aligned, it can produce good results.

1 second everyday is built exactly for this. you might need to buy a pro account if the photos you're importing are more than ~2 from the same day but iirc it's a one time upgrade and the app is awesome.
