Replace washer in Delta sink handle

How in the heck do I get to the washers in this sink handle? There are no visible screws.
Here is a picture of the handle. There are no screws anywhere, and twisting anything is not working. I managed to get the top part a little loose but I’m hesitant to yank on it or use a screwdriver to pry it off in case of damaging it. Is this the way or am I on the wrong track?
I’ve replaced many a washer on a leaky faucet and this is the first time that I’m utterly stumped by the design. Hope me!

Unscrews from under the cabinet most likely.

If there is no small allen wrench screw in the side / back of that handle, then you'll have to remove the whole handle by turning off the supply valve and removing the bonnet screw from underneath the sink. This should allow you to access the parts inside.
If you know the model of your sink it's easy to find the manual online on how to remove it, but here on page 4 it shows a setup and process which should be fairly similar to yours.

Response by poster: Oof, if I have to go under the sink it’s definitely a job for the plumber, I don’t think I have the tools to get the connection there loose. Here’s what that looks like. This might not be the simple repair I thought it was.

Best answer: It's the black nuts. Need a basin wrench at least. They also have tools like these that might help.

This valve may or may not be serviceable, but it’s not going to have a simple replaceable washer.

Response by poster: Oh hell. I was afraid of the basin wrench being involved. I’m just gonna call the landlord for this one.
