Partial denture stuck in mouth

Can you help me get my partial denture out of my mouth? I don't use any adhesive.

I wear a partial upper denture. I have two implants toward the front of the partial, one on each side of the mouth. Both implants were placed by periodontist Dr. A.

One of the implants is new this year. On Tuesday, Aug. 24, the abutment was placed. This is the part on the partial that snaps onto the implant. Both abutments have been placed by dentist Dr. B.

The abutment "kit" comes with a few abutments. Dr. B tried multiple ones this time and told me he used the loosest one. He also told me it would loosen over time. But in the office and since then, it has been hard to remove.

I have now had it in about 24 hours. I tried a few times yesterday evening to get it out, and a few times this morning. I tried rocking it back and forth, but it's not loose enough to rock much.

I tried drinking cold water, and, separately, drinking hot chocolate. I am thinking of eating yogurt, maybe the texture would lubricate.

Do you have any other ideas?

I guess the worst-case scenario is to have Dr. B's office cut it out. But then I could have a big expense to replace the partial.

If you know about dental stuff, does it seem like someone messed up?

Dr. B might be able to get it out without cutting it. I think it's worth calling and asking.

Response by poster: Yes, I have an appointment with Dr. B's office this afternoon. Thank you. I am still hoping someone might have a home remedy idea.

Best answer: Maybe swish with coconut oil? If that doesn’t work hopefully Dr B can get it out intact.

Response by poster: Dr. B's colleague got the partial out without cutting. Maybe he had better leverage from outside my mouth. And I think they trimmed the acrylic, or some such, so the partial is not so tight. I got it out last night.
