What is the Nantucket Project?

They are headquartered near where I live so I signed up for their emails. The emails have a mysterious and vague tone, similar to the emails I get from pop-up speakeasy parties on boats in Manhattan. And once, I was boarding a JetBlue plane and the video playing on a loop was made by the Nantucket Project. Who are they? Who goes to their events? What do they accomplish?

In the reference links at the bottom of that Wiki article is this:

Can Entrepreneurs, Stuck On An Island for a Few Days, Solve the World’s Biggest Problems?

tl;dr: localized TED-like thing

I first heard of the Nantucket Project on this episode of the Rich Roll podcast, where he interviews Tom Scott, one of the founders.

The show notes have links to some articles about the Project.
