How can I find a rare CD?

It's not found anywhere online that I know of

I'm looking for the official CD stretch by an 80's British band called The Boom Boom Room. Preferably in excellent condition.

It's to give to someone as a gift, but I've been looking for 2 months and can't find it anywhere.

I did a search on Discogs.com and found a couple possibilities

Do they have a fan club, fan site, or message board? That's where I'd check. I'd also contact a secondhand record store in your area; they may be able to find it for you.

While discogs doesn't have a copy of the cd listed for sale today, per the statistics section one sold there in May and there are 40 discogs users who have a copy.

Maybe message the current owners individually and make offers? Someone is bound to be persuaded given enough incentive.

I found this listing on MusicStack.com. The bottom listing sends a cd burned from the original LP, so not an official copy, and is pretty pricy but if you don’t mind that it’s an option. I also agree with contacting Discogs users and bartering your own deal. Good luck!

Also, just to state the obvious, so that it's been stated: Have you checked the record stores? I don't know where you live, but if there's a record store of any repute near you, call them and ask. It's not likely they themselves will have it, especially if you aren't in the UK, but they might have contacts abroad who can do the legwork in anticipation of a sale. If you don't know any decent stores in your area, start with this finder.
