How to find/install "animal mod" for Minecraft?

My friend's daughter would like an "animal mod" for Minecraft. What's the best way to do that these days? I've seen this already, but it's a bit old.

What platform is she playing on? PC, Playstation, Xbox, iPad, etc...

I would use the Twitch launcher, as detailed in this video. It makes installing modpacks a fairly painless affair.

I'm using it myself to run RLCraft, and occasionally check out other modpacks.
