Miami 2017, Billy Joel (live version from Songs in the Attic)
Atomic Bomb, William Onyeabor
My Sharona, The Knack
posted by sallybrown at 12:00 PM on March 4, 2020

Since Weird Al's first hit was "My Bologna", a parody of the Knack's "My Sharona", he has been flooded with requests to do a "My Corona" song. His response in a single tweet: "not gonna do it". But it must be noted that another parodist, John Mammoser, previously did a variation on Sharona/Bologna titled "Nine Coronas", about the beer, and it has been constantly misattributed to Weird Al, who also declares he avoids doing songs on drinking/drunkenness subjects.

But His High Weirdness has released a couple songs that are related, most notably a Nine Inch Nails-styled "Germs". but also a Nirvana-styled "Calling In Sick" and "Virus Alert" which is about computer viruses, but just as virulent.
