Is there a movie or tv show that has an old fashioned gate close elevator that folds in on itself to pop out of existence?

I had a dream last night in which I and a group of folks were running away from something and we all ran into an old fashioned elevator with those accordion gate bits, sort of like this but smaller. The elevator was magic, or possibly a time machine, and upon closing the gate the elevator started folding in on itself until it popped out of existence and transported us to someplace else.

The thing is, the specific mechanism of how the elevator disappeared, and how clear the imagery was in the dream, makes me think I HAD to have seen this, or something similar to this, before, on screen. Very much had a Harry Potter vibe, but I can't place it specifically.

Is it ringing any bells for anyone? At all?

Later in my dream I was eating an egg mcmuffin so don't go thinking my dreams are always this exciting. Thanks.

searching for "birdcage elevator time machine movie" resulted in this scifi stack exchange question; last answer was Showtime's 1999 film Time at the Top starring Elisha Cuthbert (haven't seen it, so can't vouch for the folding elevator cab detail. 'birdcage' is the type of elevator, if that helps)

Intro to the classic "Twilight Zone" has this sort of imagery and narrative paired. You may also check that a remake returned to this imagery for an update.

The Adventures of Mark Twain (1985) - Trailer
Welcome to the Mysterious Stranger - not-at-all disturbing scene, among many, from The Adventures of Mark Twain [this is fine]

I feel like i've seen this, with a briefcase? Like, someone hops in, it folds in quarters and pops out of view. I can't place it either but i hope this jogs someone's memory
