Bowling Shoes as seen in the Big Lebowski?

We just re-watched the Big Lebowski, and we enjoyed the gold and silver shoes from the dream sequence, and the purple shoes worn by The Jesus (both seen on Imgur), but modern bowling shoes are not in this style any more. They look more like modern sneakers. Where can find bowling shoes more like those, if not replicas of those shoes?

"Classic Mens Rental Bowling Shoes" at Amazon. They had them in 15!

The manufacturer appears to be "Linds." Saddam's is called the CRS, and Jesus' is the Classic (possibly with a CRS-type sole). At retail the company appears to be Amazon and bowling stores only, no real internet presence, but I did find their "Semi-Custom" program on bowlerstore.com. They don't show the CRS (also available with fluorescent thread) on any of these pages but it's in the form. Also if you scroll down the first link you'll see all the colors you want, as well as the price: $250, whereas the red and black ones you can find everywhere at retail are $50.

This is making me miss wearing stolen rentals in high school!

Wow, today I learned that bowling shoes come in different versions depending on which arm you bowl with.

The shoes that "Saddam" is holding are a pair of Cobra TCR-1, but in a custom color (or perhaps painted). The shoes that The Jesus is wearing likely don't exist in the wild. The Linds semi-custom are your best bet.

Alternatively, you turn any shoe into a bowling shoe by gluing a slide sole to the bottom.

(Jahaza: yes, high-performance shoes come in right-handed and left-handed. You can also change the sole and heel to get different slide and stopping characteristics. But rental shoes and lower-end models are not specific for right and left handers.)
