When is it appropriate to share something political on LinkedIn?

I know, I know; "absolutely zero politics on LinkedIn!" But what if someone works a day job and is also trying to make it as a political analyst/writer?
As I work for an hourly wage at a large corporation and also am trying to make it as a writer/researcher on geopolitical issues, is LinkedIn an appropriate place for me to share some of my work?
When I say "political" I don't mean controversial stories in the news or heated political issuers such as abortion, religion, etc. What I write about is more academic and scholarly, like a recent paper I wrote where I attempt to apply a specific political philosophy and methodology to a ongoing conflict in the Caucasus, which has already been read by several professors and other academics elsewhere.

Just make sure that your corporation doesn't have some kind of policy on "publications." They might want, e.g., for you to explicitly disclaim their involvement in an opening footnote or the like.

I keep up with a group of people who work as political advisors, consultants, campaigners. You can post politics, it’s completely normal, it just has to be distinguished from as you say, SHARE IF YOU AGREE political posting.

Analysis is different from advocacy.

If you want to get paid as a political writer, I wouldn’t put it on LinkedIn. Better your own site or else try pitching various publications.

Due to work i post political stuff to LinkedIn all the time, and also read or like or share political content from others. It did not occur to me it could be a problem.
