Astrology reader recommendations for Boulder/Denver or online

My mom has asked for "experiences" for Christmas this year. She's always been mildly interested in astrology so I thought I'd get her a comprehensive chart reading. Can you recommend someone in the Boulder/Denver area?

Pretty much as it says above. I don't live in the area and we're spending Christmas in Tucson, so it would be ideal if I can pay this astrologer online and get a gift certificate to present her on Christmas morning. I know nothing about astrology and googling providers in Colorado is confusing as I have no idea what I'm really looking for. As an alternative, if you have a trusted astrologer who provides online readings via Skype or video, that could work too.

For a remote video chat session, I’ve heard good things about Rebecca Farrar.

Are you SURE you want it to be astrology? Because Boulder/Denver is loaded with practitioners who may well convince her that she needs to consult with them ALL THE TIME (and for additional fees, naturally.) There are a million cool experiences in the area that won't potentially put her in the way of spiritual predators. Horseback riding, indoor skydiving, flotation tanks, cooking classes ... MeMail me if you'd like specific recs.

Rob Brezny may be what you are looking for. He has a popular site and a positive twist. Check out his site. If she might be interested in tarot. Jessica Dore has a course your mom can sign up for.

Response by poster: Thanks for the concern, 2soxy4mypuppet, but my mom is 73 and any kind of physical experience like you described is a definite no go. And she doesn't enjoy cooking. She's pretty scam-savvy so I'm confident that a one-time chart reading is as far as this would go.

Tarot may be another avenue. Again, in-person would be preferred to online, but she also has somewhat of an interest in that area.

Best answer: this person is a member of the American federation of astrologers( who have to follow ethical standards to be members)and based in boulder.

The second Saturday of each month The Denver Astrology Group meets at The Mercury Cafe. I understand that there is quite the mix of interest levels there. I believe that you should be able to ask folk there for their views on local professionals. Most astrologers I know are not spiritual predators and those who are often get a reputation in the local astrology community as such. The only person I have met (I live in the PNW) who lives in Denver and is currently booking consultations is Leisa Schaim. Her site explains that she does consultations over the phone or VoIP using Zoom.

Response by poster: Follow up for anyone who was interested in Boulder-based astrologers: I contacted AstroKim (from brujita's link) multiple times in the weeks leading up to Christmas and tried again after the New Year, with zero acknowledgement or response. So that was a bust. But it worked out better for my mom in the end--I decided that her Christmas present will be a trip to Paris instead!
