Where can someone see cats in Venice, Italy?

My partner is currently in Venice and desperately missing his cat. Where can he go in Venice, Italy to see cats? Preference would be a cat cafe, but will also accept bookshop cats, and cat colonies.

A friendly black cat lives in the Libreria Acqua Alta bookstore, or did a couple of years ago, at least.

Going by their Facebook page, they currently have five, so at least one should be in a social mood at any time.

The back streets of Giudecca were also very cat-populated when I wandered there on a sunny afternoon, but the felines were preoccupied on usual cat-errands.

There's a cat sanctuary on Lido that is open to the public some of the time. It's a bit of a trek, though.

I can confirm that as of July 2018 there were still many cats at the Libreria Acqua Alta bookstore; not just one black cat, but several cats in and around the bookstore.
