Is there an independent bookstore-friendly audiobook distributor?

I am deep in the process of promoting my book. As I work through my marketing plan, and meet independent bookstore owners, one of the first things they want to know is what platform I used to publish it. When I tell them I self-published and distribute through Ingram, they all smile. I've read that independents won't work with an author that uses Amazon's CreateSpace and so far, that seems to be true. So far, all of them have either ordered books, or have promised to consider ordering my book.

I'm wondering now if there is an independent bookstore audiobook distributor that is not Audible or uses the ACX format. I haven't asked those same bookstores how or if they distribute audiobooks, but I can't imagine they'd want a producer who used Amazon to create their audiobook. I will produce and narrate my own audiobook. Do you know of any reviews of audiobook distributors that are independent bookstore friendly?

I would be surprised if independent bookstores still carried audiobooks. I would look into that before producing your own.

If you find that they do, try ListenUp Audio.
