How do I use Google Slides Speaker Notes in Zoom?

Hello everyone. I am giving a Google Slides presentation via Zoom. I have the presentation done. Zoom's share screen was easy to figure out. What I can't figure out is this. If I use Speaker Notes in Slides' Present Mode, how do I know if the person with whom I'm sharing it isn't also seeing the notes and not just the Presentation? I've read articles and watched videos. From what I've gathered, I'd need two monitors. One to do the presentation. Another to see the notes. Is that true? Thanks in advance.

Best answer: I had to figure this out when my company started using Zoom. It turns out, Zoom lets you select what you share — your whole screen or just one specific browser window.

Before you screen share, in Google Slides, start presenter mode. Your notes will open in a separate window. Then start your Zoom screenshare, selecting the window that has your presentation. You won’t need a second screen, though it’s nice to have one in my experience.

Can you do a run-through of your setup with a colleague before the presentation?

Makes sense.
Alas but no. The presentation is actually for a job interview.
Thanks again!

Tangential to your question, there are some serious security problems with Zoom software that you might want to be aware of.

Note: They addressed the security problems with software updates, so if you're using the software, just make sure to update it to the latest version.

You can test-record your presentation to make sure you're showing what you want to show, though. Start a New Meeting from the Zoom app, go through the steps you'll use (per above) to share your presentation window, and hit record. An MP4 file will be created in the Zoom folder after you end the meeting that you can then watch to see if you were sharing what you expected.

Do you have two monitors? If you have two monitors connected you can share the monitor with the presentation view, then nothing on the other monitor is shared.
