Hope me Warby my Parker

How does Warby-Parker deal with lenses that are a bit off?

I desperately need new glasses, and I’d like to go a less expensive route, like Warby-Parker. But, I have a fairly strong prescription with astigmatism and I need progressives as well. I know W-P fill such prescriptions. But...

In the past, I’ve gotten my glasses through the shop associated with my optometrist and, as is usual, they’re pretty expensive. However, I’ve also had instances over the decades where the lenses weren’t quite right and they’d order-up a new set at no extra cost. Obviously, that’s a huge advantage.

So, my question is...How does W-P (or the others) deal with lenses that just aren’t right? Do they make it good, or is it entirely on your dime?

That happened to me once and they immediately gave me a refund.

How strong is your prescription? I'm -12 in both eyes and they punted on me entirely. The person I talked to said they basically can't do anything under like -8.

Zenni took my strong Rx with astigmatism and remade a pair no charge. They'll also tell you if your Rx won't work with the frames you picked. Give them a call and see what they say.

saladin, they started being able to do prescriptions stronger than -8 at least two years ago. I’m -9 in one eye and -11.25 in the other and I got my last two pairs of glasses from Warby Parker.

My husband got a new pair (for free!) from Warby Parker when he accidentally scratched them up badly shortly after receiving them. I would be willing to bet that they are equally good about replacing glasses for lens problems that are, you know, actually *their* fault.

Whether it's Warby Parker or the shop at the optometrist's office, the actual glasses are only a tiny expense for them, so it's no big deal to replace them.

WP measured the pupil distance incorrectly, which made the glasses unusable. They remeasured the values, took the bad glasses back, and mailed a new pair about ten days later that worked correctly.

I have a pair of WP for my back-up pair. My prescription is -6 and -5.5 and it was $25 extra to keep the lenses thin instead of thick. I was unlucky and had to go back to their store 3 times to get things right:

1st pair: something was very off about the pupil distance
2nd pair: perfect pupil distance, but the lenses were slightly too small for the frame somehow and so they made noise as they moved around.
The 3rd pair finally worked for me.

All of this was done at no extra charge. I guess I should be lucky that there was an actual brick and mortar store near me at time so I didn't have to worry about mailing things back and forth.
