Team Russia Olympic wear

I adore the white and red jackets Team Russia has been wearing at the Olympics, how could I get one for me?

Other than prospecting on eBay and trying to hunt around on the Russian Olympic Committee's website, I'm really not even sure where to begin finding official Russian Olympic merchandise. Is there a public sponsor like HBC and Roots for the clothing worn by Canadian and American teams?

For reference as to the particular jacket I covet, it's the white puffy winter coat with red blazes on the underarms and the charming foral motif on the right side, as seen here and here. Unfortunately even finding still photos is proving difficult, and I haven't been able to get a close enough look at any of the television coverage to see a brand name. If it helps (or might get me somewhere), a similar motif/pattern was on the clothing worn at the 2004 Athens games (see here)

Do I have any hope?

Someone asked the same question during the 2004 games. Hopefully the links still work and may be helpful.

Here you go. The company is called Bosco. Not sure if you'll be able to order from the US, though.

(Found it though a Google search for Russia olympics apparel. They're apparently having a bit of a conflict with the Russian Olmpic committee.)

Awesome. I wanted this tracksuit in 2004.

Response by poster: Thank you zsazsa and MsMolly! The Bosco name is a huge help, although there is (as in 2004) no online ordering, and only listed places to buy are in Moscow or in Italy at the Olympics. Maybe some success with calling or emailing? But the utter lack of English on the website would lead me to suspect that might not get me very far since I sadly speak no Russian...

One more reason to shoot for getting to Vancouver in 2010!

I'm in the same boat as you, nelleish. I would love to own one of these jackets, or even just the t-shirt. I came across Bosco's website designers, and they're nice enough to have an english page. Unfortunately, it looks like it's wholesale only.

I looked up a few of the shops on BoscoSport's "Where to buy?" page, and the only one I might feel comfortable ordering from is GYM (gum.ru), but their site is under construction at the moment. Murph's law.

I'm going to look into this a bit more as I talk to people.

Yes, you can only officially buy the clothing in Russia and Turin. Be forewarned...it's incredibly expensive! I wanted to pick up a sweatshirt myself, but decided otherwise after seeing the $130ish price tag! (I don't remember the price exactly, but it was about double of what I was expecting to pay...welcome to Moscow!) Response by poster: Hmm, the more I read about these sponsor issues the less inclined I am to support them by going to such great lengths to own something they've produced! I didn't realize especially that athletes weren't able to use the clothing provided and had to cover up so many logos. How disappointing! It makes me wonder what the jackets really look like, and if they're even comfortable to wear...

I love the design, but it's the Olympics connection that really gets me, so maybe I'll look more closely at the Canadian clothes this year!

Thanks again all!
