Where can I get one of those ball chairs like they have in the Apple Store? My kid loves em.
Tried looking, got as far as the Baleri Italia web site and its user-hating Flash interface (they're in the "tato collection"). Anybody on the west coast carry them or a less expensive knockoff?

Response by poster: No, that's not them. I shoulda posted a picture. Here's one. They're flat on the bottom so they don't roll.

Best answer: The real deal ($474—ouch).
Another round thing you can sit on ($14.99).
Actually, the cheap one doesn't look too bad.

Response by poster: Thanks designbot. That's crazy. No wonder Macs are so expensive <g>.

Actually, designbot, it's not too bad. My wife loves hers. She's now thinking of moving up to one of these, which I think is pretty wacky but also kind of cool.

My wife actually uses an exercise ball for a desk chair at her massage office. She read that using one would help her balance (and offer a bit of exercise while sitting) and has been pretty happy with it.

I use the product that The Bellman has linked. Its pretty nice but I tend to lean on the back rest too much which you're specifically stated not to do. The back rest is for moving the plastic enclosure around. The ball is removable which is pretty cool.

I just saw at Costco a similar kinda thing, sort of a comfortable hassock you can sit on, with a plush finish for around $50. Maybe worth checking out before blowing the big bucks...
