Lodging in North Lake Tahoe?

Myself and three friends are going skiing at Squaw Valley next weekend and we're looking for a place to stay. We're flexible, but we'd like something cheap, close to Squaw, and preferably with internet access. Any recommendations?

I stayed at Foster City a few weeks ago. It is more So. Lk. Tahoe, but the palce is worth it just for its right-out-of 1975 "Boogie nights" styling. It comes with shag carpet, spiral staircase, a fireplace right in the middle of the room, a wet bar, jacuuzi... Though if it is just 4 of you, it may be a bit large.

Budget per person? Need an idea of "cheap."

Response by poster: Cheap = $40/person/night, ideally. We could go up to $80/person/night but would prefer not to.

Good luck. If anyone mentions any South Lake places, its too far of a drive. You're best bet would be something in Truckee, which is just up Hwy 89 from there, maybe 5 miles. You could go the other way to Tahoe City but its right on the lake so prices will be higher.

#C on this map is close to the 89 South (look closely and you can see Squaw Valley south of truckee). Maybe worth a call.

Response by poster: To answer my own question, one of my friends suggested this place, which looks pretty good.
