Books that examine authors through a critical feminist lens, either in favor of or against their work?
Andrea Dworkin's Intercourse is incredible, and she looks primarily at fictional works.
I also recently read the classic Women who Run with the Wolves which includes feminist readings of folktales and myths.
OMG and also you should check out Kate Zambreno's Heroines, which looks at the neglected women behind famous Modernist male writers.
I'm sure I can think of more, but these were my most recent favorites.
