Can you succeed where Shazam and Google have failed?

There's a song in a 2002 episode of the show Boomtown that I like. It goes "Some day/some way/I'm leaving for California." Can you ID it?

Given the google fail with such clear lyrics I'm wondering if it's that old favorite "grabbed a couple studio musicians and cranked out a generic clip we don't have to pay licensing fees for"

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with Wretch729. The lack of any presence of those specific lyrics anywhere in the googlable universe is highly suspicious and strongly suggests that this was not a commercially released song. My guess is possibly something pulled out of their in-house music library, (possibly from somewhere in here?). I didn't realize that stock music like this would have lyrics until I learned that "Night Begins to Shine" from Teen Titans Go! was one of those songs.

Ah, Boomtown. One of my all time favorite shows, even though it wasn't perfect. But I still miss it.
