Help me not think too hard for an invite for a work party.

In search of theming ideas for two groups coming together as one. Think: Brady Bunch...ish.

My company just acquired another company and we've doubled in size. Our local office is about to have a big party where the two groups meet and intermingle for the first time, and I need to send out a save the date/invitation pronto. I've been extremely busy lately and my creative brain is just DEAD and I can't think of ANYTHING to put on this damn invite beyond the party pertinents and I need help. Please. Thank you.

Our company is pretty laid back and we have a chill dumb shit vibe. (Not a work hard play hard place, thank god, but we've got like a giant stuffed bear and tell jokes and get along real well for the most part.) It's really important that we show our new coworkers (who come from a more straight-laced owner company) that yes, they really can wear t-shirts to work now and leave at 4 if you really have to, we're just that kind of place, etc. So I want the invitation to be at least mildly fun.

The only things my dumb brain can think of right now are:

-Brady Bunch (two families coming together to make one family is about the right symbolism, but Brady Bunch is super lame)
-the season of Survivor that was called One World (bad, real bad, we don't want to convey voting out tribe members)
-something super heroes like Avengers because they're a team that works together but truly I don't know shit about superheroes and didn't they all die in the last movie?

HELP. PLEASE. GIVE ME YOUR BETTER IDEAS THAT CONVEY BOTH UNITY AND WHIMSY. Bonus points if you can give me some guidance on fun copy I can put into the invite. Thank you!

Reese’s cups? You got your [Group 1] in my [Group 2], two great tastes that taste great together, there’s no wrong way to [throw a party], etc.

Or, to steal the candy theme, left twix and right twix?

I like the food idea -- lots of things go great together!
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Avocado and toast
- Mac and cheese
- Milk and cookies
- Here's a list of the 100 'best' duos

I guess this wouldn't work quite as well if you want the new team to eventually integrate into your team, instead of being separate, but equally valuable teams. (Which makes me think of America as a melting pot... and fondue...)

Welcoming new employees after an acquistion... welcome home/kitschy homecoming theme? (No dancing, dear god.)

Two groups together, forming a supergroup? (Punny copy references: embarking on this Journey together/joining The Firm/Cream of the crop/The Transplants were much-needed/hoisting a new, Wild Flag for this exciting voyage ... point is, you're all going to make beautiful music together (in the form of banknotes).)

I kind of like the Brady Bunch theme? I think you could camp it up a little and it would be recognizable and accessible to people and still fun...like have someone photoshop the heads of your execs on the mom and dad in the iconic grid photo, maybe some other employees as kids? If you can get someone else to do the work, maybe rewrite the lyrics to be company specific? Like, Here's the story/of Company 1/who was making lots of educational toys...and get someone fun to sing it?

Response by poster: With your encouragement I decided to just go on with the Brady Bunch thing. We've got a big stuffed bear in our office so I used him as a model. Redacted invitation for your viewing pleasure here. Thanks for convincing me it wasn't a terrible idea, this thing turned out real cute.
