What are some great comedy music videos?

Yesterday's AskMe about iconic music videos mentioned The Lonely Island's "I'm on a Boat!" which I'd never heard of before. I thought the video was hilarious. What are your favorite comedy music videos?

I have a few I keep in reserve for when I want a video pick me up

- Pachabel Rant ("hey that song sounds familiar")
- Axis of Awesome Four Chord Song (similar idea)
- The Librarian Song (maybe only funny to librarians)

In line with Glomar response's...uh...response, Fatboy Slim's Praise You video by Spike Jonze is pretty great too.

DJ Format, 'We Know something You Don't Know' is funny on its own, but more so if you're familiar with the hip hop video tropes they lampoon. Awesome song too.

In a bit of the same theme as Fatboy Slim, the UK video for Moby's Bodyrock is full of absolutely delightful visual gags.

Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al" always makes me smile. It's basically Chevy Chase being a tool at Paul Simon's expense.

This might only be funny if you are a GenX rock fan, but Sugarcube.

Lil' Dicky is an often-comedic rapper who gained his following largely through his music videos -- $ave Dat Money is my favorite, but he has a ton.

Jon Lajoie's Everyday Normal Guy is a YouTube classic.

Coincidentally my SO only just days ago introduced me to this masterpiece: Redesign Your Logo

Jessamyn has librarians covered above, this is one for anyone with a career or interest in graphic design/brand/marketing.

J.K.'s list of Weird Al's best videos didn't include his most recent...
the all-star Tacky
the perfectly appropriate lyric video of Word Crimes
the 'topical keychange' of Foil
the 'corporate CSN&Y' of Mission Statement

and the second best funny song guy Jonathan Coulton also has aggressively fun lyric videos of Ikea and Shop Vac.

I also fondly remember the video that introduced us to Cyndi Lauper, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, the wonderful wardrobe of Queen's I Want To Break Free, Men Without Hats' Safety Dance and Men At Work's Down Under.

Ass on the Internet is a criminally underrated masterpiece (twerking! pancakes! snuggies!)

See also: the classic Lemme Smang It.

Edited to add my very most favourite Crazy Ex Girlfriend song, Maybe This Dream, for a flawlessly executed period poop joke.

My favorite genre of music video is "regular folks lose control and bust out dancing in everyday situations"

Avicii - Levels
Fatboy Slim - Ya Mama
Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly

SEAGULLS (Stop it now) - Bad Lip Reading
Turn Down for What - DJ Snake, Lil Jon

I can't watch Youtube at work, but hopefully that 2nd video is the right one...

Most of what I'm seeing from folks here are more or less serious songs with funny videos. Drew Toothpaste (for Dinner) has some really great ones, too. For example, Charles has a licking problem. He's got plenty more.

How is there only one G&O song so far? They're all great, but I would pick This Party Just Took A Turn For The Douche

Fuck Shit Stack by Reggie Watts is amazing. Lyrics are NSFW obviously

Also, nearly everything by Flight of the Conchords. I'm partial to Hiphopopotamus vs Rhymenocerus and Fou De Fa Fa personally.

I am frankly amazed that none of the Rubberbandits fantastic oeuvre of Irish madcappery is on display yet. A list of Must Watches:

Horse Outside
I Wanna Fight Your Father (and again in Gaelic)
Spastic Hawk (feels like a great riff on classic era Suicide, of all things..)
Black Man (an ode to the goal of building a multi-demographic 80s Movies style street gang)

In the category of "poking fun at the format", I submit:

The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon (1966!)
Replacements - Left of the Dial
Pixies - Velouria

If you think Cards Against Humanity is hilarious, you should watch the video for Oh Bo by Bo Burham. If you find CaH at all offensive, you shouldn't. It's highly NSFW if that's not obvious.

The animated video for Storm by Tim Minchin is fun too and less offensive.

Can't believe I almost forgot Juicy Karkass - Punch 'Em in the Dick As seen on mefi music (lyrics most definitely NSFW)

It's a bit serious song/funny video, I guess, in that it's the video for a single, but the song's not that serious and the video is very funny. Bangarang by Doomtree, featuring Har Mar Superstar.

Unintentionally hilarious, but also sweet in its earnestness:
• Mark Gormley, "Without You"

Funny and adorable:
• The Avalanches, "Because I'm Me"

Who Knew:
• DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince: "Parents Just Don't Understand"

Absurd:
• Barnes & Barnes, "Fish Heads"

These vids are all, to some extent, funnier than the songs themselves:

Kings of Convenience, I’d Rather Dance with You is charming and goofy

Mo Kenney’s Telephones and its spiritual predecessor from the Bangles, Hero Takes a Fall

Grateful Dead’s Touch of Grey

Pretty much anything by Huey Lewis and the News, and quite a lot by the Cars
