the cat which will not be named

It’s another round of “name my cat please!” Pics of course.

Here’s all the relevant info for this handsome boy...
He was called Lucas at the shelter, so I’ve been calling him Lucisco because I am gross about Latin, but it’s not fun to say...been calling him Kisskiss, which, no, or Lucio which sounds dorky?

His stepbrother is Kaiju, whom I did not name. Photos of him and deceased Grimalkin (best cat name ever) in imgur profile.

I got him because I wanted another cat but only just finally dumped my terribad allergic to cats ex and so kitty is a return to normalcy, freedom and catladyland!

He was returned to the shelter TWICE for being TOO CLINGY omg who does that.

I love his terrorizing little monster butt help it’s been almost a week this is chatfilter but I’m at a loss. My mother wants him to be named Lovey so y’all are probably better than that. I like names sorta based on Lucas, sf/f cat characters, maybe persons in history (especially philosophy), but prefer not human names. Cats named Karen or George kinda weird me out. Halp.

How about calling him "Babe"? His cute pink ears remind me of Charlotte's Web.

Oh my gosh, he's beautiful! If you call him Kisskiss, what about calling him kiss in another language like Bisou or Beso or Bacio?

SUCH A GORGOUS CAT.

"Hey! Luciani". You have to include the hey.

Mecha Godzilla, to go with Kaiju.

What a cutie! Congratulations on upgrading from the ex!

His name should be Flip.

Tralfaz. Not a SF cat name, but a SF name.

He reminds me of Alan Rickman. Alan isn't a cat name, but Rickman might be?

(our cat is called Vince. He didn't have part of his ear missing when we got him - he was apparently named for The Might Boosh - but he does now, thanks to a disagreement with a British Shorthair down the road. My wife's parents also had a cat with a missing ear, also called Vincent.)

Such a handsome boy!
Another vote for Vincent/Vinnie—even though you normally don’t like human pet names, the ear makes it the perfect name.
Congratulations on your new family member!

Clearly, he is Locutus(t)

He has such a lovely, distinguished face.

Since you're calling him Kisskiss maybe you can back-name him and say it's short for Kismet?

Rob Rockets has beaten me to the obligatory suggestion of Tralfaz, therefore I must counter with the other obligatory suggestion: Slagathor

omg his nose is perfection

I think he looks like a Lucario, or 'Luca' for short.

Oh, or maybe Lucretius? Because he looks very wise and because if cats were philosophers they'd probably mostly be Epicurians.

Okay, you want a Lucas-kinda name with an SF spin? Luke is super obvious, but does seem to fit the bill. Skywalker as optional last name if he seems to be a jumper/climber.

I love 'Skywalker'.

I also want to give that kittynose a thousand kisses.

Michael J. Fox. Seriously, he has an Alex Keaton look to him... bit of a smart ass, weird sense of humor, into everything, but such a love-bug.
And the ear tipping is part of trap/neuter/release program protocol to identify the cats.
He is obviously a good boy.

It's fantasy, not sci-fi, and I'm not even much of a LOTR fan, but Aragorn. He seems like the rugged warrior type.

Lucius Meowfoy is near the original name, unless that includes too much human name for you. Your lovely cat does look very imperious, just like the Malfoys.
