I like physical CDs to have a complete physical collection. I also like the artwork. I haven’t gotten into vinyl yet. The sound quality is also generally better than the iTunes Store. It is handy though to have music on my phone as it is always on me.

Is there a way to have a physical CD with lossless and import it into iTunes and not only sync it with my iPod but get it on my iPhone to? What are my options to have music on multiple devices with good sound quality and not have to buy multiple copies?

Apple has a lossless file format called ALAC since iTunes and iPod/Phone will not play FLAC files. This article explains how to get a lossless file from a CD. Read the comments as well.

As for having music on multiple iDevices, you don't have to buy more then one copy. The file on your hard drive can be synced to multiple devices using iTunes or other syncing software. I use MediaMonkey to move larger audio files to my iPhone.

Sure. There are a few way to do this. Assuming you have a computer with a CD/DVD drive, you can do this within iTunes (instructions for Macs and Windows). Once you have a library on your computer, you can sync it with whichever devices you want. If you have a computer but don't have a CD/DVD drive, you can easily (and cheaply) buy an external drive.

If you don't have a computer, it's more complicated, but one option would be to buy a CD from Amazon that supports what they call "Autorip", which gives you a free MP3 version of the album along with the physical CD. I'm not sure if the quality of their MP3s will be sufficient for what you're looking for.

iTunes Match is Apple’s service that lets you download or stream any songs you have in your collection from other sources. It has a yearly fee around $25 in the US. No idea what its global availability is.
