Has my Yahoo account has been hacked?

I'm not very computer literate, so I'm hoping someone can help me. Although I can still access and use my e-mail without any problems, I can no longer check the comments section of their articles, nor post any comments.

When I click on the comments link, I get an error message stating "Sorry, we can't load comments right now. Try again." This happens regardless of the computer I'm using, and doesn't happen to others who use those computers, such as when I'm visiting my parents and using theirs. I've looked into the possibility of contacting Yahoo's, um, "Customer Service", but my experience has been that it's impossible to talk to an actual human being from that company, and nothing in their FAQ addresses this issue. Deleting my browsing history and restarting the computer hasn't helped. Is there anything I can do, or should I resign myself to no longer being able to use Yahoo the way I did before? Thank you.

Best answer: Could it be an ad-blocker issue? I've seen some sites that purposely code their comments section so they're disabled along ads.

Best answer: Does this happen on every browser?

Response by poster: @ lmfsilva: I don't believe that's the case. Ads always seem to load normally when I'm on Yahoo.

@ Countess Sandwich: I have an old (2009) MacBook Pro, and at one point installed the then-current version of Chrome. (It's since become outdated and I apparently can't change it because my computer's too old, but that's another story.) Anyway, I tried to go on Safari yesterday, and that seemed to be even worse, by which I mean things were slower to load and I couldn't even see the Comments link.
