Spreadsheet ping a URL and return whether it exists

I have an csv file with names of charities and their URLs. I want to add a column with the direct URL of their donation page. To speed things up, I am assuming many will be http://URL/donate, and would like a way to efficiently ping each one and see if that page exists/works. Is there a way to do this in excel/gooogle sheets or anything else (simple)? Any other tips to find donation URLs without manually checking appreciated.

Using a script with Google Sheets should be able to do this - this article describes a similar thing.

The term you are looking for is bulk URL checker - plenty of free online tools, no coding required.
