Good dentist(s) in Seattle

My husband and I are both looking for new dentists in Seattle - mine passed away, and we no longer live near his. Neither of us have hugely unusual dental needs - he has a crown that can be touchy, and I have some genetic risk for gum disease, but it's mostly just regular cleanings and the occasional filling. I would prefer a dentist somewhere in downtown Seattle, and for him ideally his dentist would be located in Greenwood/Broadview/Shoreline/North Seattle. Preferably places where the hygienists and reception staff are really nice (I once quit a prior dentist because the receptionist was so rude to me). Thanks!

I go to Pacific dental in Greenwood/Ballard and they're fine.

Capitol Hill isn’t downtown but I have had excellent care at The Dental Shoppe. As has everyone else I directed there. Modern approaches, very friendly folks, no upsells on cosmetic dentistry. They’ve taken particularly good care of my gums.

Oh yeah, I was also going to recommend The Dental Shoppe! Everyone there has been both nice and understanding (that we are human beings, that we don't have infinite wallets, etc).

I would invite you to my practice in Mukilteo, we meet all of your criteria. but it sounds like you want to stay south.

Dr. Charlie Young, downtown. The receptionists are very kind and have been with him for decades. He does great work and is always on time. Once, the receptionists caught an insurance billing mistake before the bill even got to me, told me they would fix it and then did fix it. They're pros.

Tracy Wayman is so good I still come back to Seattle for my semiannual checkups despite living in Boston now. If you can get Deb as a hygienist, she’s awesome!

The office is in Wallingford which is a decent compromise between your two preferred locations.

For your husband: I've been going to Dr. Cederbaum's office for years, and her dental hygienists are great (as is she, but I spend more time with them). She has an office just north of U Village, off the Burke Gilman.

Ryan Tennant, at The New Face of Dentistry in lower Queen Anne. The best dentist I've ever had, and he baked my wedding cake.
