My sister needs help getting healthcare (ACA) in Maryland...

My sister certainly qualifies based on income, but she says she's given up on their website. She says she's sent everything they asked for, and they keep telling her either they didn't get it, or she submitted her request the wrong way. Meanwhile, I think the deadline has passed? My problem is, I have never had to do this (private, employer paid healthcare for 30 years). I don't even know what to tell her. What should she do?

There are also local navigators in every county in Maryland. Their job is to help people sign up for insurance. If you tell me what county she is in, I can probably connect you with the appropriate navigator.

I think the deadline has passed, but she may have a qualifying event that opens the program back up for her. She should definitely speak to a navigator.

Nthing a Navigator; I had similar problems, and a Navigator was able to help me.

Healthcare Navigators are available through the state health department. Just give the m a call and ask for one.
