How can I protect my hair from heat damage?

I’m looking for a hair product that will help protect my very fine hair from damage caused by blow drying and styling tools. Can you recommend a specific product for this and tell me why you like it? Thanks!

I have thin, wispy, wavy to frizzy hair that I blow-dry before work. I use Garnier Fructis Flat Iron Protector. I spray it on the brush that I'm using to dry my hair, not on my hair itself, which is too thin. I like it because it makes my hair shiny and soft, but not greasy. As for protection, my hair has held up better than I expected through almost 4 years of daily blow-drying.

Kerastase. It makes my blowout voluminous and my hair super soft and doesn't grease up later in the day.

I've had really good luck with "It's a 10" brand Miracle leave-in Plus Keratin. It keeps my hair really soft and healthy feeling, despite regular hair coloring and heat styling. There's also a "lite" version that might work well for your hair if products tend to weigh it down.

Davines All in One Milk is magical. I have similarly fine hair, have tried what seems like dozens of products over the years and this one is by far the best. Smells amazing too. The It’s a 10 spray that cp311 mentions is also quite good and is also more widely available at drugstores and Target so it will definitely do if you don’t want to have to order product.

all products that contain avocado oil, cocnut oil and argan oil.
it is also good to make hair masks twice a week before going to shower with with oils.

L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil smells incredible and does a great job protecting my fine, thin hair from heat damage (I blow dry every time I wash and tong it every other day). The key is to apply a pump or two to dripping wet hair before you towel dry - I actually keep the bottle in the shower stall for that reason.

Here is the product I referred to above. It's "perfector," not protector.
