How can I find research about restaurant managers?

I'm having a hard time finding research specifically about managers. Most results I've been able to turn up (aside from an abundance of blog spam and job listings) are about the effects of managers on organizations, and suchlike. I'm interested in the effects of working in a management career on the people that are doing it.

I am curious to answer questions like:

- What are the long term health effects of working in management (especially restaurant management), either mental or physical?
- What is the average career length of a manager?
- What other roles do managers tend to transition into?

I'm not looking for career advice, speculation, or anecdotes. I'm hoping to find actual research, or strategies for finding research in order to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks!

Best answer: You might find that hospitality management is a useful search term. It takes in things like hotels and theme parks, too, but it may be a good source. The National Restaurant Association may also be worth looking at.

This has probably occurred to you already, so apologies for stating the obvious-- but the school libraries of places like EMBA (hospitality management university) may also help.
