cool exciting home network problems

Tech support! My Windows desktop and laptop have no problems with my wifi router but my iPhone drops off constantly.

I have this Asus router. The connection between it and my iPhone 6S is constantly finicky - at any given time there's only a 50% chance it's connected to wifi, and then when I try to load a page or something it often hangs for a couple of seconds and then drops into LTE. I've noticed that it only seems to drop when I try to visit a new page, never in the middle of a video or while downloading a podcast or something. I thought upgrading to iOS 11 might help but it's doing the same dang thing and now also re-prompts me for the password when it drops off.

I have a desktop computer with a Cisco USB wifi adapter and a laptop, both running Windows 7, that never have any issues. It's just the phone. And my phone never has any wifi issues anywhere but on my home network. Help!

Have you updated the router's firmware?

Response by poster: Hey, I think I fixed it! The 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band had different passwords, and every time I lost connection I bet it was because my phone was flipping to the other band and failing to log in.
