Well designed blockquotes / pull quotes / external references?

I'm working on the design for a website. Can you point to any websites that have an excellent style for block quotes / extracts from external references, pullquotes, citations, and similar elements? I am hoping to find some inspiration.

I'm particularly interested in sites that do a good job of integrating smaller sections from longer external sources, as I am almost certain there has to be an innovative way of exposing the relevant information.

Your requirements aren't totaly clear to me, but you may be interested in the story "Host" by David Foster Wallace, as presented by The Atlantic.

I'd take a look at webtypography.net.

Best answer: I love Smashing Magazine for this type of stuff, and they have a selection of nice examples.
