Name my law podcast!
July 18, 2017 10:26 AM
I'm working on a podcast that will support an undergraduate-level university course, available online, intended to give students a comprehensive overview of Canadian law. What do I call it?
The podcast will be biweekly or monthly (not ideal, I know) and will focus on explaining simple legal concepts, ideally in relation to contemporary events. As a f'rinstance, today I recorded an interview with an IP lawyer on the B. Rich "Out for a Sip" issue, talking about things like whether you can trademark a phrase, what that means, and what might happen next with this case.

LegalEase (undoubtedly already taken, but maybe not as a podcast name?)
Maple Briefs
I wish I knew more about Canadian law, because I bet there are a lot of fun puns that would probably make great podcast titles hidden in some of the legal nomenclature!

Are you blonde? Because if you are...
Legal, eh? Blonde.
And thus the Internet has received the worst dad joke ever created in any dimension.

Sigh. "Eh" is old. Most Canadians don't say it and never did. It's as if someone assumed all Americans say "yawl".

Does it have to be cute or include a pun? Why not Core Concepts in Canadian Law or something sober like that? (Canadian Law: the Essentials? Essentials of Canadian Law? The ABC of Canadian Law?)

These are all great, but no, puns/cuteness is not a requirement. Suggestions all appreciated thus far!
