What do you call this sales & marketing job?

I'm in the fortunate position of being able to create a job of my choice at an organization I know well. But this job does not exist at the organization right now and I need help coming up with a title.

In this role I'd spend 50% on sales analysis. The other 50% would be spent writing and editing communications (both internal & external, but mostly external), event planning, and representing the company at industry functions.

This position would not have any people management responsibility & would report to the Vice President of Sales. It's pretty important that Sales & Marketing be in the title, in order to set boundaries with other departments who would likely try to co-opt my time for other things. It's also important the role not be pigeonholed as a catch-all administrative position.

Any succinct ideas?

Depending on your goals, you may want to make the title a bit broader so you can grow your responsibilities.

e.g. from most general -> most specific
Sales and Marketing Programs Manager
Sales Operations and Field Marketing Manager
Sales Analytics and Field Marketing Events Manager

Playing off troyer, and normalizing for standard title/professional level labels, I'd go for (depending on what level it is):

Project Manager, Sales and Marketing (PMs often have no people to manage, and makes it clear that that is the case)
Sales and Marketing Specialist (generally one level above coordinator, and emphasizes that this is not catch-all)
Sales and Marketing Coordinator (basically the notch-above-administrative level)

Also, at some organizations, "sales and marketing" is replaced with "business development," in case your industry also standardizes to that (which would make it easier for putting on your resume for future opportunities).

This sounds like pretty straightforward "Sales Development"

It would be helpful to know what job you want next, so that you can align the title with that.
