Anyone have experience with social security's Ticket to Work program?

I'm on social security disability and looking to get back into the working world after a few years without employment. I currently live in New York. I was wondering, does anyone have any personal experience with social security's Ticket to Work program? Was it helpful for you? Thanks in advance.

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but if you're currently on Medicaid due to disability, you may be able to stay on Medicaid even if your income puts you above the ordinary Medicaid cutoff under the Medicaid Buy-In Program for Working People with Disabilities.

I'm an insurance navigator but not in NY so I'm not sure how your Medicaid programs' eligibility works -- but certainly you'll want to make sure you can maintain medical insurance coverage as you transition to working and this program may be worth looking into.
