Recently broadcast program about the Anthropocene epoch

I recently (within the past week or so) heard a program on the local NPR station that discussed the Anthropocene, mass extinctions, and other matters related to deep time. What was it?

Try as I might, I just can not find this program online, and Google is totally failing me. I only caught a snippet of the program, but the following issues were discussed: Rats and rodents may be successful species in the wake of the current mass extinction. The future geologic record of our time will contain minerals that were never before present, or only rarely present — IIRC they discussed tungsten carbide, which is used in ballpoint pen tips. The Plasticene is another proposed name for the current epoch. The fossil record will reflect the appearance of invasive species all around the globe.

What in the world was I listening to? I wanted to download the whole program but now I can't find it. It was broadcast in the afternoon, but I don't recall whether it was a weekend or weekday.

Best answer: Seconding that On The Media episode, I just listened to it on my commute home today and it includes the interview you describe in the story We are the Meteor.

Response by poster: It was indeed that recent episode of On the Media. It looks like OTM recently redid their website. I don't think Google can see their transcripts (I certainly can't find them myself), which is probably why nothing showed up when I searched. The link to the In Our Time episode on the Paleocene-Eocene thermal maximum is an extra special bonus. Thanks everyone!
