QT Streaming error

Streaming QuickTime problem:
Usually when I click a link which should stream QT clips [eg, here], I get an error [-3285: disconnected]. Can anybody help me with this?

You may receive an error message "-3285 Disconnected" from the Quicktime Player. If so, follow the instructions below.
QuickTime streaming uses a protocol called RTSP to ensure the best performance. However, if your network connection is protected by a firewall, you may not be able to connect using RTSP.
In this case, QuickTime streaming can be used with the HTTP protocol instead. (This is the way your Web browser communicates with the Internet.) The performance may not be as good, however, as with RTSP.
To use HTTP streaming:
In QuickTime Player, choose Preferences from the Edit menu, then choose Streaming Transport from the submenu. Set the preference to HTTP on port 80.

Response by poster: Thanks for the answers, I am using the most up-to-date QT (7.0.3)- but:

It goes Edit > Preferences > QT Preferences [no option for streaming there]
I find streaming under a tab, but no option for HTTP. However, I have found an option

I can't believe this is an uncommon error. I am well peed off with Apple at the mo.

From System Preferences: Quicktime: Advanced, do you have the Transport Setup to "Automatic"?
That's my setup, and I can play what you linked to.
And no, not everyone's network connection is firewalled. It *should* be, but not everyone has a router.

Response by poster: Well, I meant surely everyone has *a* firewll. I use AVG, it is not blocking QT, as I have now haerd the first few words of Kennedy in that clip. Then it stutters, the progress bar continues but - no show. I give up (tried QT alternative too, and Steve3's suggestion).

3285 Disconnected
Earlier versions of QuickTime do not support the playback of mp3 encoded streams. Upgrade QuickTime Player to the newest version or use a different player that supports mp3 streaming
(I googled "-3285" disconnected -- that actually gave some good info)
