How to rid my room of whiteflies?

I must put an end to the whitefly occupation in front of my south facing window, but how?

I had a zebra plant in my room, and it was very happy there near the window, but then the whiteflies came and ruined everything. I evacuated my beloved jade tree to the livingroom, and threw out the zebra plant, but there are still whiteflies (and some other little plant sucking bugs by the looks of it) on the surface where I was keeping the plants. How should I go about cleaning the area, and the pot from the zebra plant, to ensure that they don't strike again?

Rubbing alcohol.

4 parts water to 3 parts rubbing alcohol. Add a squirt of liquid soap.

And if that doesn't work, good old-fashioned flypaper.

YELLOW flypaper...white flies are drawn to the color yellow.
